¡¡SINTONIZA CON RADIO EL PINAR!!

En IES El Pinar, tenemos un estudio de radio donde realizamos grabaciones de podcasts de temas de interés. Ahí encontrarás información sobre los artistas más  actuales, sugerencias para pasar de pantalla en tu juego favorito, las mejores películas del momento, entrevistas a personajes famosos de nuestra comunidad educativa….

 

Los alumnos de IES EL PINAR realizan trabajos en parejas o en pequeños grupos con la ayuda de sus profesoras de inglés y auxiliares de conversación, que luego grabamos y convertimos en podcasts.  Creemos que brinda una oportunidad ideal para practicar destrezas importantísimas en el aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera, de una manera original, motivadora y divertida.

 

Al realizar estas actividades, los alumnos no solo se acostumbran a hablar ante un público –aunque sea a través del micrófono- y por tanto cuidar su pronunciación y entonación; durante las sesiones de preparación del podcast practican la redacción de textos en inglés, se acostumbran a buscar información en internet, seleccionar lo más relevante, a resumir, a repasar… y lo que es aún más importante, a respetar las ideas de otros, trabajar como parte de un equipo y colaborar con sus compañeros.

TUNE IN TO RADIO EL PINAR!!

 

At IES El Pinar, we have a brand new recording studio where students record podcasts about different topics of their choice. Here, you can find information about artists who are popular at the moment, tips to move on in your favourite videogame, reviews of current movies, and interviews with students or teachers from our local community… there’s even an Agony Aunt section! 

 

Our kids work on their written text in pairs or small groups, with support from their teachers and teaching assistants, which we then record at the studio, edit and turn into podcasts. We believe this provides a great opportunity for our students to develop and practice important communication skills while learning a new language in a fun, engaging, and original way.

 

By working on the creation of their podcasts, students not only get used to speaking to an audience –though through the microphone- they also practice looking after their pronunciation, rhythm and intonation. Whilst students prepare their podcasts, they also practice writing texts in English, get used to looking up information on the Internet and choosing the most relevant information, summarising and paraphrasing outside texts, and editing their writing. Perhaps most importantly, students also learn how to respect other team members’ ideas, work as part of a team and cooperate with others.
